Elementary school is a time for discovering yourself at a young age. Kids find out what what they are interested in, what they are good at and what they excel in. Coppell ISD elementary schoolers Kinley Wojick, second grader at Austin Elementary, and Matthew Narez, first grader at Lakeside Elementary, have experienced this discovery first hand. These two students were recognized nationally for their artistic talents.
Earlier this month, the National At Education Association held their annual National Convention in New York City. Wojick and Narez’s artwork were chosen to appear on the Big Screen Plaza in the middle of Midtown Manhattan for just a few minutes of fame. People were able to give the artwork praise from surrounding streets and restaurant terraces. Their work along with 500 other student pieces were featured in a tribute to Youth Art Month. As for Wojick and Narez, this was a fabulous start to their artistic future.
