After both the JV and varsity teams were defeated by the Episcopal School of Dallas on Tuesday night, the Coppell Lacrosse hopes to bounce back – but on different stages, and against different opponents.
This Thursday, the junior varsity team will get a shot at redemption against the Keller Indians. Though JV lost on Tuesday, the team still looks strong and has a lot of room for improvement.
The varsity team will not play in a game on Thursday, but will travel to Phoenix, Arizona for a weekend trip. There, they will play Brophy Prep and Chaparral. Both of these games will be challenges for the varsity team, especially because they will be played on back to back days. Both Brophy and Chaparral competed in the Arizona State Championship game in 2011, which the Chaparral Firebirds won. Both games will be a great match-up since all competitors played in a championship game last year, and should be evenly matched on both sides of the ball.
