Following their autism walk earlier in September, HOSA continues to contribute to the community by donating goods to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
The HOSA Halloween Party on Wed. Oct. 28 in Ms. Brinkman’s room, A110, is the introduction to HOSA’s next campaign: the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS).
LLS is dedicated to funding blood cancer research, education and patient services; the organization celebrated their 60th anniversary this year and continues to aim at transforming the lives of people with blood cancer.
HOSA members are granted one service hour for donating a food or party item. The hours count only for HOSA and contributes to their HOSA membership requirements. An active HOSA member must have a certain amount of service hours, and future officers must have more.
In the following weeks, HOSA will start the Pennies for Patients campaign to collect change that can possibly save lives.
