Circulating the Internet, Facebook, Twitter and any other social networking site imaginable is a new video targeting and educating the world’s population about the Ugandan war criminial Joseph Kony. The video, in partnership with Invisible Children, has been advertised heavily within the passed two days of its release and hopes to make the savage leader “famous,” as stated by the 29-minute video.
This fame however is not used with a positive connotation, but instead the popularity of Joseph Kony will in turn reveal his true identity to the world and the true importance of seeking justice for the Ugandan people and invisible soldiers.
Although Coppell High School has been supporting the Invisible Children group for some time now, the foundation hopes that the video titled, “Kony 2012” will make the 2012 year an ultimatum for his arrest. Much speculation has come out from this video, but I personally believe that it takes everyones participation to bring this devastation to an end.
Watch the video, share it with your friends and even express your feelings and concerns to congress. This mission is long passed overdue and although many American heads feel as if the United States is not responsible for this war; we as the people need to get their attention because in reality the moral behavior of Joseph Kony is unacceptable no matter where you live.
