Hundreds of high school Latin students packed Hebron High School for the Area C Junior Classical competition. The Coppell team made sure they didn’t come away empty handed.
Coppell won a total of 22 ribbons, almost tripling including two first place victories by senior Michelle Bizzell, and one each for sophomore Yvonne Kim and freshman Yuri Choi. Sophomores Daniel Sanders, Matt Murphy, and Suzanne Roberts did well in Dramatic Interpretation.
“I think the team did awesome,” senior Bizzell said. “I’m really proud of everyone. I think we all worked really hard this year to get to this point.”
Most of the team will continue on to the State Competition March 30-31 at Clark High School in San Antonio.
“I am going to have to do a lot of studying to be able to keep up with my competition,” sophomore Suzanne Roberts said.” I have a feeling it will be a lot more intense, but hopefully my team and I can all come back winners.”
