Tired of 106.1 Kiss FM playing the same 10 songs over and over all day long? Don’t have a transmitter to jam out to music on your iPod? Tune into 1310 The Ticket radio station.
It’s a local sports talk station that centers mainly on the Dallas Cowboys, Mavericks, Stars and Texas Rangers but everything is objective. They also cover a varsity of topics not related to athletics such as current community, local and national news.
It’s a very comedic station; the guys joke around and pull pranks on each other. The drops and lines that are played may be confusing at first, but after listening for about a week you will understand their meaning.
This is the lineup every Monday through Friday:
The Musers from 5:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. – Hosted by George Dunham, Craig Miller and Gordon Keith.
Top segments: ‘Muse in the News’ at 7:30 every day and ‘Emergency brake’ at 7:50 every Friday.
Norm Hitzges from 10 a.m. to 12 noon – Hosted by, you guessed it, Norm Hitzges.
Top segments: No every day segments, Norm just talks sports.
BaD Radio from 12 noon to 3 p.m. – Hosted by Bob Sturm, with Dan McDowell and Donovan Lewis.
Top segments: ‘Gay/Not Gay’- Tuesday’s at 12:50 and ‘Why today doesn’t suck’- every day at 3:00
The Hardline from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. – Hosted by Mike Ryner and Corby Davidson.
Top segments: ‘Entertainment News’- every day at 4:30 and ‘Community quick hits’ at 6:30 every day.
Ticket Top 10 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. – Hosted by Chris House.
Top segments: This show is a rundown of the best ten segments of the day.
This station is as much local news radio as it is sports radio. Give it a chance, this talk radio isn’t as boring as it may seem. It’s informative, funny and will give you an alternative to listening to Brittany Spears every third song.
