In the spirit of “PINKtober”, last week we saw pink shirts and ribbons in the hallways of CHS in support of the Dig for the Cure volleyball game.
This weekend at Northpark, the festivities continue. The Dallas County Susan G. Komen race for the cure is kicking off at 7:00 am, Saturday, October 17.
So far the Dallas County organization has earned $838,411.20. Their goal for this year’s race is to reach $1.5 million.
Even though it’s early, especially for a Saturday morning, it’s worth helping the cause and getting a t-shirt.
To learn more about the race, go to http://www.komen-dallas.org/site/PageServer?pagename=homepage and to participate in tomorrow’s race, registration starts at 6:00 a.m..
