This Sunday, Oct.18, the State Fair of Texas will come to an end. The fair started on Sept.25, and brought in quite an amount of publicity (especially due to the appearance of Oprah Winfrey on Oct. 12).
The fair is notoriously known for providing great fun, food and entertainment, which it certainly did this year. Thus far, unique foods such as banana praline waffles, frozen turtle cheesecake dipped in chocolate on a stick and deep fried pizza have been served.
Musical guests such as Jason Castro, the Edwin McCain Band and Little Big Town have made appearances at the fair. This Saturday, Miranda Lambert will be performing at 8:30 p.m. and the Commodores will be performing on Sunday at 5:30 p.m. Tickets to these concerts are free with admission.
If you would like to go to the fair this year, then make sure you do it before this Sunday! For more information about the State Fair of Texas, you can visit http://www.bigtex.com/.
