Coppell High School’s swimming and dive team recently took 10th place at the North Zone TISCA Invitational at the Lewisville ISD Natatorium in The Colony. 14 boys swimmers competed at the meet, with over 30 teams in overall attendance.
The boys 400 free relay team broke a school record, finishing ninth with a time of 3:19.19. Hayden Henry broke two records, one in the 200 IM with a time of 1:55.49 and one in the 500 yard free, with a time of 2:12.71. Kristian Chanin also placed 14th in the boys 100 yard butterfly with a time of 54.77. Luke Meyer, Bryan Cavender and Josh Chanin also broke standing CHS records.
On the girls team, Laura Kuechler took 7th in the girls 200 IM with a time of 2:12.71 and the 100 yard butterfly with a time of 59.98. The girls team also reached the finals in the 400 yard free relay.
