The Coppell Public Library offers students books, computers, and a vast amount of sources for school related assignments or for pleasure. Besides these tools, the William T. Cozby Public Library, on September 29th, at 7 P.M., will be hosting a financial seminar that will focus on money tips for teens and parents.
Lewis Johnson, an investment advisor, will be speaking on behalf of his program “Start Smart,” which will benefit teens and parents alike with budgeting and balancing their money.
The seminar requires no advance registration and is at no cost. Show up Thursday, September 29th, to enjoy an informing presentation that will benefit tremendously down the road.
Along with the seminar, the library is also hosting a community wide event called “Coppell Reads,” that encourages the public to read a common book, and then attended a related program.
This year, the book is “The Devil in the White City,” by Erik Larson. The book depicts the story of the first American serial killer and also includes the story of the 1893 Chicago World’s Fair.
The program following the book will be an interesting talk with DNA and forensics experts and also the history of Fair Park and Fort Worth during the 1890’s.
