This Monday, May 9, the crowd of the Rangers game will be filled with fans supporting the Coppell Independent School District and the students and staff that comprise it. The game, which begins at roughly 6:30, will feature students and teachers from the elementary, middle school, and high school campuses.
The 14 Campus Teachers of the Year – Liz Malone, Marly Natherson, Martha Brown, Cindy Bladl, Nadya Gulam, Jan Ridley, Stacey Harris, Crystal Wheatley, Rhonda Pickrell, Chris Gollner, Sharon Pyburn, Sandy Stubblefield, Irma Kennedy and Kim Wootton – will also be recognized during the game in the in-field. This group of special teachers, comprising of elementary and secondary school educators, was also recognized at the Academic Acheievement Award Banquet this Tuesday; at the banquet, Nadya Gulam and Irma Kennedy were named “Teacher of the Year” for the elementary and secondary school levels respectively.
In addition to this, Coppell High School Coach Joe McBride will be throwing the first pitch and students from the choirs of Coppell High School and New Tech High @ Coppell will begin the game with a rendition of the National Anthem.
Tickets for this event were sold until April 20 for a discounted price of $12.50. Community members of all ages were welcome to buy and attend the game in honor of the Coppell Independent School District.
