English EOC

Kara Adkins

staff writer

Thursday and Friday of this week students will be taking the EOC during their first through third period classes. Even though this is not a grade and can be viewed as a test run for next year, all juniors and selected freshman classes will be taking the End of Course this week. After students finish they will be allowed to return to class and all morning Dual Credit kids will be exempt from taking the EOC. Students will be tested over English both days of the exam. Thursday will be the reading portion of the test and Friday will cover writing. Students can find their testing classroom in the cafeteria by student services. This process should help give a better idea to school officials of how the test will run next year once it replaces the TAKS and should be a good indicator on where our students academically stand on tests such as the EOC.
