Coppell teams to stay active during break

    Peter Sblendorio
    Sports Editor

While most Coppell students will be spending their breaks on vacation, several Cowboys and Cowgirl’s sports teams will be spending their time off playing in district games.

The Coppell baseball and softball teams each have two games over the break against 7-5A teams. The Cowboys will take on Denton Guyer at home on Tuesday night and will travel to Keller to play Fossil Ridge on Friday. The Cowgirls will play Justin Northwest on the road on Tuesday before hosting Keller Central on Friday night.

Both boys and girls soccer teams also have games. The Cowboys kickoff the break tonight with a pivotal game in Southlake against the first place Dragons, and they will also play Justin Northwest and Keller at home over the break. The Cowgirls will play the exact same three teams on the same nights, but they will play at home when the boys are on the road and vice versa.

Although school is on a hiatus, the sports world never sleeps at Coppell.
