The Coppell Police Department will host their third annual Police Rodeo. Every year officers from all over the state join in Coppell to raise awareness about fallen officers and police safety. The police officers ride their motorcycles in unique patterns to help with their balance. These routines help them learn the balance they need to work quickly when they are out on the roads patrolling. They also use the rodeo to raise awareness about fallen officer. The first year of the rodeo the money they raised went to a memorial that was built outside the police station to remember the fallen officers. Last year they worked with C.O.P.S, a organization that works with the families of the fallen officers. The rodeo will take place March 26th.
