What are the odds of seniors having late arrival on the same day as free pancake day at IHOP? Today, they were rather promising.

That’s right, today is National Pancake Day! Annually, since 2006, IHOP had held its national day of free pancakes where every customer receives a a complimentary stack of IHOP’s infamous buttermilk pancakes. The promotion lasts from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.  today.

In return for free pancakes, IHOP asks customers to consider leaving behind a generous donation for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and other local charities.

Last year they raised more than $2.1 million dollars. Since 2006, IHOP has raised $5.35 million and given away more than 10.1 buttermilk pancakes.

Having late arrival today gave me the perfect opportunity to get my share of pancakes, and let me tell you, every bite was worth it. Although the restaurant was slightly crowded, service was still prompt.

You have until 10 tonight, so go out and grab your pancakes while supporting a great cause.
