Team tennis has been going on for a few weeks now and is coming close to end. With only one district match left for everyone, the last week is crucial.
Flower Mound Marcus, Coppell and Flower Mound have all beaten South Lake Carroll, Hebron and Lewisville but the record against each other is making things complicated in the sense that there can be a three-way tie.
During week 3, Coppell and Marcus played each other and Coppell lost 9-10. While this was a sad defeat, it did not guarantee Marcus any rankings.
During week 4, Flower Mound and Marcus played eachother and Flower Mound beat Marcus 12-7.
As of now, Flower Mound is in first place with no losses and Marcus and Coppell are tied for second. Flower Mound and Coppell have yet to play each other but that match will be the deciding factor of the rankings for the district tournament.
If Coppell wins, then all three schools will be tied for first and it will all depend on matches won against each school. The one with the most wins will be first, the second team will have the second most and the last team will be third place.
If Flower Mound wins, they will be ranked first, Marcus will be second, since they beat Coppell, and Coppell will be third.
Coppell plays Flower Mound on Tuesday Oct. 6 at Flower Mound High School.
