There is no avoiding the huge star that is found in the Sandy lake/ Denton tap intersection. Coppell residents endured slow travel due to lane closures at this major intersection this summer when the brick pavers were replaced. But on January 24, 2010 construction began on Belt Line at Wrangler Drive in order to replace the brick pavers there as well. This has become a huge inconvenience to Coppell residents. It not only seems much more difficult to drive in the recent inclement weather, but also is quite expensive. It seems to me that the standard concrete road would suffice just fine and replacing the bricks is a waste of the City of Coppell’s time and effort. It makes our roads difficult to maneuver and creates quite a bit of traffic congestion when they need replaced. It is safe to say Coppell will be very relieved once this construction is out of the way.
