To encourage student participation in the visual arts, Coppell High School competes at the Visual Arts Scholastic Event, or VASE, every year. This year’s regional competition will take place at Poteet High School in Mesquite ISD. The competition is organized into divisions based on how long participants have been in a studio art class, where students spend months preparing their artwork. At competition, students are interviewed by a judge, and the best entries go on to state VASE.
There is only one more week for the competitors to make last minute touch ups on their artwork.
