Coppell classes Adopt-A-Family

Laura Kattilakoski
Staff Writer

Many families in Coppell come to expect the dozens of presents under the Christmas tree every year. However, not all families are so lucky, even here in Coppell.
The Salvation Army offers the Adopt-A-Family (AAF) program in order to make sure deserving families receive gifts despite difficult financial conditions. Coppell High School students have the opportunity to aid the program through classes at school. Certain classes are assigned a family to “adopt”. The class will then need to buy the items on the family’s wish list, which consist of clothing, toys, and household items. It’s a great way to spread the Christmas spirit and help those who are not as fortunate this holiday.
