Even though I never got to spend a class with staff writer Ainsley Dwyer, her impact on The Sidekick has never gone unnoticed.

Her passion for writing, especially in entertainment and opinions, has brought so much of her amazing talent to light. Whether a review on a book or album to columns on many topics, her work always captivates people, leaving them with a lasting impact.   

Beyond her headlines, she is an inspiration for so many members in our program. When I met her for the first time during the program’s boot camp, she immediately caught my attention by being such a dedicated member. 

Not only in her writing, but in her dedication and enthusiasm for this program, Ainsley sets the standard for aspiring young journalists. Watching her work from a distance, it is clear how much pride she has in the content she makes and her love for journalism. 

Ainsley leaves a legacy on this program of leadership and creativity. She has shown through all her work how to chase a story with passion, and her work’s impact will remain in our program.

Thank you, Ainsley, for every story you wrote and the impact you made on this program. As you continue to grow in whatever you choose to do, remember that you will always have all of us cheering you on.
