The heart and soul of Pinkerton Elementary School lies within its teachers. From fourth grade teacher Jacquie Graves pulling student’s teeth to teacher jokes, this episode features the impact of its International Baccalaureate (IB) teachers on Pinkerton students.

Welcome to Preserving Pinkerton, a short podcast series created to honor the legacy of Pinkerton. In October, Coppell ISD trustees voted to consolidate the school following the 2024-25 school year due to the district’s budget deficit. Our podcast serves to spotlight the traditions, classes and nuisances directly from its students and teachers.

Wendy Le, Executive Social Media Editor
Wendy Le is in her third year in The Sidekick as a senior and the executive social media editor. Throughout her time in this program, she’s found joy in doing things and going to places she never thought she would’ve: standing on the sidelines, in the back of the Black Box Theatre, political rallies, learning how to use Adobe, taking photos, making social media graphics and writing features.  Le does have hobbies outside of D115. When she’s not scouring to get things edited or feeding The Sidekick social media accounts, she likes to brain rot on TikTok, craft new Pinterest boards, go thrifting and take photos on her digital camera. Rhea Chowdhary
Rhea Chowdhary, Media Editor
Rhea is a senior and the Media Editor for The Sidekick. She found her love for media stories through their ability to convey a strong message with sound and visuals. While she’s not cranking out a story, she loves to hang out with friends, grab a camera and take some photos or plop her Beats on and listen to music for hours. Minori Kunte
Minori Kunte, Art Editor/Cartoonist
Minori Kunte is a senior and the art editor and staff cartoonist for The Sidekick. She spends her time singing for the Madrigals and A Capella. In her free time outside of school, she enjoys painting scenic locations she’s spotted and making vlogs of her vacations for herself and her family to watch. Her favorite movie of all time is The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. She enjoys watching Anne With An E and The 100, while snacking on Brookside Acai Dark Chocolate and Skinny Pop.
