Could you put a price on your best friend? Your parents? Or even your little brother? I hope not. But a Florida woman had no problem putting a price on her infant son; his price tag, $30,000.
Stephanie Bigbee Fleming, 22, got arrested on Tuesday for trying to sell her baby in order to pay for a new car. What happened to just pawning an old guitar or having a garage sale in order to raise money? To sell your child seems unexplainable and downright inexcusable. Police caught her when they went undercover and met her in a parking lot and the baby boy was handed over to them in exchange for a $30,000 check. Stephanie got charged with illegal sale of a child. I find it sad that illegal sale of a child is even a possible charge and that a person would be twisted enough to believe a car is more valuable than their own child.
