    Diya Dasari

    Rhea Choudhary
CHS9 freshman Diya Dasari strives to spread positivity and campaign for an organization effectively. Dasari is one of six 2023-24 Student Council executive officers.

Coppell High School freshman Diya Dasari is a 2023-24 Student Council executive officer. Dasari strives to make bigger decisions, she participates in traditional Indian dance.

Why did you run for the executive officer position?

It gave me the chance to practice leadership roles. I’m looking to learn more about leadership positions and what it entails.

How has your freshman year been?

It has been good. I love meeting new people from different middle schools. I admire how dedicated the teachers are, and how nice everyone has been.

What is your favorite part about being a student council officer?

I like being a part of the bigger decision making and helping the student body in a way I couldn’t if I wasn’t a part of the council.

What are some challenges you faced while running for office?

I believe people think of student council as a popularity contest, but I think it’s the way you campaign. The hard part for me is getting people to know that I was running for a student council officer position.

What have you learned from this role?

I want to improve my communication; and leadership skills.

How do you want to be remembered as an executive officer?

I would want people to remember me as a positive person. I want to be someone who is friendly and that people could always talk to.

Rhea Choudhary is a junior at Coppell High School; she first took a step in D115 in order to pursue photography for The Sidekick. Despite her initial intentions, she is now a second year member, returning as a staff writer. At first, thought she wasn't the best fit for writing, but after deciding to give it a shot, she soon realized that she let her fear keep her from finding what she truly enjoys doing!  As an avid show binger, Rhea’s top three shows include Gossip Girl, Gilmore Girls and One Tree Hill, as she can go on for hours talking about any of them. She also loves watching classic Hindi movies (with lots of iconic songs and actors in them), along with consistently enjoying listening to her 24-hour Bollywood music playlist, on a loop. Her favorite food is drunken noodles and sushi, along with loving any sweets that contain milk chocolate or caramel. As a member of HOSA, Rhea hopes to pursue a future career in medicine, specifically to become an oncologist. Rhea has completed her Bharatanatyam arangetram, a solo debut/graduation, and is still a dedicated dancer. As an only child that keeps the volume in her house very high at all times, Rhea’s number one friend is Teddy Graham, her mini goldendoodle.
