Got You Covered is a series from The Sidekick detailing events involving Coppell High School and Coppell ISD happening this week. It will be posted every Monday for the remainder of the 2023-24 school year.
  • Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) holds its annual blood drive at Coppell High School on Friday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • On Friday and Saturday, Coppell Choir performs its Vivace! Show at CHS Auditorium from 7-8:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased here.
  • The Canyon Ranch Elementary School  Carnival is  Friday from 4:30-7:30 p.m.
  • On Saturday, the Coppell ISD Board of Trustees holds a Team 8 meeting at Canyon Ranch Elementary School at 8 a.m. 
  • Cozby Library and Community Commons holds its Indie Author Fair on Saturday from 1-4 p.m.

Sahasra Chakilam is a senior and the Executive News Editor of The Sidekick. She joined The Sidekick after watching Gilmore Girls and being inspired by Rory Gilmore’s work ethic and passion for journalism. Through the program, she has been able to develop a love for storytelling and connect with her community on a deeper level through reporting.  Outside of The Sidekick, she enjoys consuming all sorts of media. Her favorite music genres are R&B and indie pop, she has rewatched Crazy Rich Asians and How To Lose A Guy in 10 Days maybe 15 times and cannot ever pass on a 2000s teen drama.
