At the bottom of the fifth inning, Lewisville’s Olivia Powell and Paslie Allen scored two runs.

By the top of the sixth inning, two more runs scored by Powell and Lewisville’s Megan Till pulled the score to 13-3 where the game concluded.

“They can play short ball, and they’ll bunt a lot, so trying to get over that is hard,” Coppell sophomore Kayla Shannon said.

Despite a tough fight from Lewisville, a few star players helped keep up Coppell fight in each inning. Coppell junior Kimber Kerrigan, Carter and senior Medleigh Danchak put up distinct hits and saves during the third to fifth inning to progress the game.
