The Coppell girls lacrosse team hosts Allen at 7 p.m. on Thursday at its Senior Night game at Coppell Middle School North field.

“Just to see where the team has gone from my freshman year to now is so impressive,” Coppell senior attack Sadie Harp said. “I’m so proud of all the girls on the team and can’t wait to see how they progress even more in years to come.”

According to  Coppell senior attack Finley Tipton, scouting the opposition is not a priority for the Cowgirls this year, but rather focusing on their own game. The focus against Allen will be on shot precision and motion.

“We have done well with encouraging each other and being smart with the ball, but we have struggled with checking,” Tipton said. “We want to keep our heads up if we make mistakes and be ready to use everyone on the field.”

Clean transitions, according to Tipton, will be the thing to look out for again Allen.

“We know they’re a team who comes to play hard every night and that we can’t take them lightly,” Harp said.
