The Coppell basketball team hosts Plano tomorrow at Coppell High School Arena, with tipoff at 8 p.m., for its last home game of the season.

“A lot of emotions are going around [the team] right now,” Coppell senior forward Ryan Agarwal said. “This is a huge game for us.”

This will also be the Cowboys’ Senior Night.

“We have had a lot of injuries this season,” Agarwal said. “Unfortunately, we won’t be able to win district this year.”

The Cowboys must win one of its final games in order to secure a playoff berth. The Wildcats are currently ranked first in District 6-6A and remain undefeated.

“Last time we played the [Plano Wildcats] we didn’t have enough offensive power,” Coppell sophomore guard Arhan Lapsiwala said. “This game will be our last home game, so it should be a good one.”

Plano defeated Coppell, 49-36, on Jan. 18.

“This game, the team will have to do a good job of rebounding and boxing out, defensively and offensively,” Agarwal said. “We’ll also have to get back on defense after we put up a shot.”
