The Coppell girls soccer team is coming home tonight to face Plano West at Buddy Echols Field, with kickoff at 7:30 p.m., following a win in its first District 6-6A match of the season against Plano this past Wednesday.

For seniors, this is a bittersweet match.

“I’m really excited,” senior defender Grace Turman said. “We have traditions for home games that we haven’t done yet [since our last game was away]. Our names get called, and they might play the hype videos or the first time this season.”

Hype videos are, as Turman explained, played on the scoreboard screen at many games. They feature introductions of each player and highlights of the team’s gameplay. The team filmed the video last week, and has not yet seen it as their first game was away.
