Last Wednesday, Sept. 16, the Red Cross Club had their first meeting of the school year.
So far, the club has already acquired a new incentive for students to join their club. This year, Mr. Hunt has given the Red Cross Club permission to allow their senior volunteers to receive pins for their graduation gowns. This requires the Red Cross Club members to volunteer at various locations and events, while representing the club.
Throughout the year, the club hopes to take numerous trips to one of the Red Cross warehouses in Dallas. Numerous Red Cross donations are sent to the warehouse, where members will volunteer to sort through the donations.
The next Red Cross Club meeting is scheduled for Oct. 1.
