Video: Coppell joins Black Lives Matter protests to spread awareness for racial equality

On June 3, Coppell citizens rallied together at Town Center Plaza in support of the Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement with an awareness rally organized by Johnny Roberson. Roberson began and closed the event in prayer, leaving time for citizens to volunteer to speak to the crowd. The protest occurred in response to the growing threat of racism and police brutality against the African American community. To further spread awareness about BLM and the fight against racial injustice, Coppell held a Walk For Peace on June 6 beginning at Andrew Brown Park East at 9 a.m.
