Coppell senior forward Sebastian Blaas avoids the grasp of Irving MacArthur to make a pass on Feb. 7. Blaas is one of 13 Cowboys to be selected for a District 6-6A award.

Individual district awards offer closure for unfinished boys soccer season

From the rough beginning to the six-match win streak to the untimely ending, the Cowboys played their parts perfectly down to the line for Coppell’s very own boys soccer comeback story.

Entering their seventh District 6-6A match ranked second to last, the Cowboys did the unexpected; they took out first ranked Flower Mound Marcus, continuing the winning streak that lasted until the season was canceled.

Though Coppell never got the chance to play out their playoff dreams, they were instead rewarded with individual accolades for a season to remember – 13 in total.
