As the next installment of workouts during isolation, Coppell High School senior Alyssa Roemer and I decided to embark on a challenging, novel adventure – walking 26.22 miles, the distance of a marathon.

We made the decision on a whim after seeing others do the same on social media and realizing that if there was any time to do it, now would be the time. My usual workout of running five miles outside on the Town Center Elementary track now seems like nothing compared to this; I can confidently say we both have never experienced pain like we did in the last six miles ever before.

However, the feat of walking 26.22 miles in a day is something I can now proudly say I have accomplished.
