I am sure there are a number of you as enamored by the prospect of “the future” as I am. For some, college is little more than a fleeting thought, however, for others it has become an obsession.
So, if you’re looking for various web sites to get your mind outside of the realm of high school, the following are some of my favorite diversions.
1. The U – Although somewhat outdated, this website gives a holistic view of the school (from the student’s perspective, that is). With videos enitled “The Shelter”, “The Scene”, “The Crowd”, and “Getting in,” you are sure to find whatever it is you are inquiring about.

2. College Prowler – Student reviews are rampant here. Judgment of “party schools” and “drug scenes” pervade the site. Guys from the university judge how good looking the girls are and visa versa. This is more for the social aspect of your college (or dream school) than anything.

3. College Confidential – Warning: amidst application season, DO NOT visit this site. It might just scare you into a hole. Here, students from all over the states post their credentials to their respective colleges, i.e., you can size yourself up and potentially believe you won’t get in anywhere. AFTER one gets in, however, peruse the site at ease (then you can get to know your potential ‘Class of 20**ers).
