The Coppell softball team plays Midlothian on tomorrow at the Coppell ISD Softball Complex. This is the last game before the Coppell & Marcus tournament, which will draw the end to the preseason.

“This game, like the rest, is good practice for our district games,” Coppell senior first baseman Olivia Reed said. “I expect our team to do well against them because we have come a long way since the beginning of the year.”

The Cowgirls are 7-5 in the preseason and aim to bounce back from a two-game losing streak. To do so, the team will focus on hitting.

“Their pitcher isn’t bad, so we need to make sure our bats are ready, but other than that, our team should be ready,” Reed said. “Our goals right now is to come together as a team and really encourage each other especially, if someone is struggling.”
