On April 14, AP Art History and IB Visual Arts students visited both the Dallas Museum of Art and the Nasher Sculpture Center.
At the Nasher Sculpture Center, students observed works by Jean Arp, Alberto Giacometti, Henri Matisse and Pablo Picasso, and the Jaume Plensa: Genus and Species exhibition of Twins 1 and 2.
However, at the Dallas Museum of Art, students saw works by students (many of which are made by students at CHS) in the Young Masters exhibition and photography and paintings from the 1850s in the The Lens of Impressionism exhibit.
Students had the opportunity to tour downtown Dallas in addition to view works of art, murals and sculptures.
