On Friday at 7 p.m., the city of Coppell is hosting the Spring Music Series at the Square in Old Town Coppell.

The Special Edition Band will play a two-hour-long set with pop covers from different eras. Food trucks such as F&F Express, Easy Slider and Panda Express will be available during the concert.

While this event started years ago, this will be the second year it is located in Old Town and the first year there will be photo opportunities readily available.

“It’s got a new energy to it,” Coppell community engagement manager Tiffany Anderson said. “Old Town is a really fun space, and it’s beautiful out there. It’s definitely energized the event.”

Attendees can bring their own chair or blanket and enjoy some music together as a community.

“We just want to provide the community with an opportunity to get together and to make some memories,” Anderson said. “This event is a chance to sit outside, focus on hanging out with family and friends and listen to some good music. It removes other distractions so we can just have a good time.”

The event is free of charge and is expected to end at approximately 9 p.m.
