As the students get back into the swing of things, and another year is underway, it is time for clubs to start up again. Today (Sept. 14) is the French Club gets back in the swing of things with their first meeting of the year.
French Club is a very small organization of about 15-20 students, most of whom are in a French class at CHS. The club however, is not closed to only students in French class. Any student who has previously been in French classes or is just interested in the language or culture is more than welcome to attend.
At the first meeting, the main item on the agenda is the voting and electing of new officers. The positions available are President, Vice President, Historian, Treasurer and Freshman Representative. To run for an officer position you must be in French classes and the President must be in French III.
The meeting begins at 4:00 p.m. and will be in French Teacher Ms. Hanley’s room, C129.
Meetings are held the first Monday of each month. Most meetings are held in Ms. Hanley’s room, but occasionally will be held at La Madeline in Lewisville. For details or more information be in C129 at 4:00 p.m. this afternoon.
