Sample best food of city at Sunday’s 8th annual taste of coppell event

The Coppell Chamber of Commerce will be hosting its 8th annual Taste of Coppell event this Sunday at the Four Points by Sheraton from 4-7 p.m. Local restaurants, event sponsors and businesses will be in attendance, including last year’s Golden Fork winner, Frost Cupcakery; tickets to the event cost $35.

Food ranging from all cultures, countries and tastes will be brought to Coppell at this Sunday’s 8th Taste of Coppell event from 4-7 p.m., hosted by the Coppell Chamber of Commerce.

 

Popular local business and restaurants will be in attendance at the event’s venue, the Four Points by Sheraton and tickets for adults are priced at $35.

 

According to Coppell Chamber of Commerce CEO, Christine Douglass, the event outgrew its previous venue, the Coppell Senior Center. The event will instead take place at the Four Points by Sheraton at 1580 Point West Blvd. in Coppell.

 

“[The chamber has put in] a lot, it’s one of our signature events so we put a lot of effort behind it as well as our ambassadors and committee members,” Douglass said.

 

Popular Coppell restaurants such as, Anamia’s, J. Macklins, Frost Cupcakery and Zenzero will be in attendance.

 

For the first time, children below 10 years old, will be admitted to the event for free.

 

Celebrity judges including, Mayor Karen Hunt and Coppell city manager Mike Land, will be selecting the Taste of Coppell winners. The premier award of the event, the Golden Fork, was won by Frost Cupcakery last year.

 

New this year, the event will feature local businesses and boutiques such as, Roxy’s Place, Let it Shine, Knockout Haircuts and Indulgence Crafting Studio.
