Whether you love its unique downtown character or its vintage-style shops, Old Town Coppell will always be a special part of the city. Tomorrow, Coppell Parks and Recreation is set to open its third annual event celebrating the anniversary of Old Town Coppell.

This family friendly event is set to take place from 7-9 p.m. on the Square of Old Town Coppell located at 768 W. Main Street.

The celebration will be filled with live music of all genres from the band Time Machine, karaoke, food and giant lawn games. Visitors will be able to sing on the stage with the band as well.

“I think the concert will be fun because I’ll have time to spend with my friends and it will be a nice way to end the week after AP exams,” Coppell High School junior Varsha Kanneganti said.

Food from local restaurants such as Local Diner and Dodie’s will be there for purchase. There will also be complimentary popcorn for everyone to enjoy.

“It’s a fun opportunity to bring the family out, have a picnic, listen to some live music and hang out with your friends,” Coppell Parks and Recreation community engagement manager and event coordinator Tiffany Anderson said. “There will be great weather and it’ll be a good Friday night, and good to your weekend.”
