The Coppell Cowgirls (19-13, 4-0) will work to keep their District 9-6A record clean against the Pearce Mustangs (10-21, 2-2) in Coppell on Friday. After not losing a single set for the past three matches, the Cowgirls are working towards a rhythm that will hopefully give them an edge in district play, giving them momentum heading into playoffs.

“I feel like we’re all work together really well and we flow really well,” junior setter Ava Racz said.  “We’ll be able to pull through even though this is one of the hardest games in district.”

Against a tough competitor like Pearce, the teamwork and adaptability the Cowgirls need to compete with should make for a close match as they work to achieve a 5-0 record.

“We definitely expect the Pearce match to be a tough one,” head coach Julie Green said. “We focus[ed] on strengthening our side of the court, our serve receive, or offensive options in serve receive to side out faster [and] our block.”

The match will be this Friday in the Coppell arena at 7 p.m.
