Coppell Cowgirls girls basketball coach Kristen Davis had a strong year in her first season at the helm of the team. The Cowgirls finished at a 14-19 mark overall and 2-10 in district and the team showed major improvements from last year’s team.

“The biggest thing was helping the girls rediscover the love and passion for basketball,” Davis said.

The Cowgirls experience improvement in leadership and morale in her first season at the helm.

“Her leadership has made me and all the girls on the team more confident in ourselves as a team and individually,” senior point guard Kaeli Stayer said.

The Cowgirls are prepping for next year with high spirits and hopes to achieve their end goal, a state championship.

“If we expect to do well we have to be enjoying what we’re doing so that was a really big part of it,” Davis said.

Congratulations to the 2016 Sidekick Sports Female coach of the year, Kristen Davis.
