On Feb 6, Coppell moms and dads will lead their tiny dates to the floor of The CORE. It’s not too late to sign up for the annual Be Mine Valentine Dance.

The dance being held at ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​234 E. Parkway Boulevard is split into two parts, one for moms and sons (1p.m. to 2:30 p.m.) and one for dads and daughters (3:30pm to 5:30pm).

The cost to attend is $24 per couple and $9 for each additional child. Drinks and snacks such as cookies and fruit will also be included.

This is the 14th year that the dance will be held, however this year, The CORE Recreation Services Supervisor Shelley Abraham is in charge for the first time.

“We hope they take home lifelong memories,” Abraham said. “That memory and experience of something they were able to do with their parent, or guardian, or whoever they come with.”

The dance is not only open to parents, but to other family members as well.

“We have kids who come with their grandparents, uncles, and step parents,” Abraham said. “It’s a lot of fun.”
