After taking down McKinney Boyd 12-2 on March 19, the Coppell Cowboys varsity boys lacrosse team is set to play the Highland Park Scots tonight at 7:30 p.m. The Cowboys are entering with a record of 9-1 and Highland Park holds at 7-2.
With an 8-7 overtime loss to the Scots last year lingering in the back of their minds, the Cowboys are ready face one of the top programs in Texas once again. Head coach Alexander Poole has a game plan and knows his team, especially his seniors, will go all out to beat Highland Park.
“We have a few schematic ideas to limit their production. We will have to be patient and deliberate if we hope to cash in on our possessions,” Poole said. “Our seniors are aware this may be the last time they ever get to compete against the Scots, so they will certainly leave everything on the field.”
Be sure to pack Lesley Field at Coppell Middle School West as it is sure to be an exciting match up between the Cowboys and the Scots.
