Coppell Cross Country attended the Marcus I Invitational at North Lakes Park in Denton last Saturday. The school competed in the JV Boys, JV Girls, Varsity Boys, and Varsity Girls 5k events.
With seven runners in both the varsity events, the Varsity Boys team came in 12th while the Varsity Girls team came in 2nd overall. The top runners in both events were Samir Merchant (39th) and Kim Kirby (2nd) respectively.
Both JV teams came in 6th overall for their events. Top runners for these events were Jordan Williams (7th) and Rebekah Henderson (4th).
The Cross Country team plans to follow up their success with another meet this Saturday. The team will be competing in the Southlake Carrol Invitational at Meadowmere Park. Click the link for a map to the meet: http://quadc.shutterfly.com/mapstomeets
