This morning, schools from the entire district participated in Project All Children Exercise Simultaneously (ACES) between 9:00 and 9:30 a.m. The event, organized by the Coppell ISD School Health Advisory Council (SHAC), emphasized the importance of exercise in order to be healthy in both body and mind and is part of a global exercise initiative that began in 1989. Locals including the Coppell Fire Department, 2013 State Champion CHS Boys Soccer and Girls Volleyball teams, former Texas Rangers and Boston Red Sox Pitcher Mark Brandenburg, ATA Taekwondo, Rowdy the Dallas Cowboys Mascot, Mayor Karen Hunt, CHS Mascot Cowboy Carl and others were at various campuses to speak about the importance of daily exercise and to join in on the fun.
