Coppell ISD is constantly evolving as times change. For many, these changes are understandable, but they can also be very confusing for a variety of reasons. “Why do things need to change?” and “How are things changing?” are some common questions asked by students and parents alike. Dr. Turner, Coppell ISD superintendent, answers these questions through a series of videos posted on the Coppell ISD website. You can watch the videos on the website here.
In total, the video series titled “You Need to Know” contains nine videos that cover just about everything about Coppell ISD. The videos included are “History of the Journey,” “Creating a New Vision for Public Education, “Senate Bill 1557,” “North Texas Regional Consortium,” “High Stakes Testing,” “Texas High Performance Schools Consortium,” “State Leadership Role,” “Coppell ISD’s National Involvement” and “Get Involved in PASA: Parents for Authentic Student Assessment.”
The videos are a response to Dr. Turner’s monthly forums called “The Discussion;” which is in series of videos also on the Coppell ISD website. The goal of the videos is to give the Coppell community insight on the most up-to-date trends in education and best practices for the most worthwhile education.
