Every campus has a central location, a place that is truly the heart of the school. At Coppell High School, this place is The Commons.
The Commons is divided into two sections: the Small Commons and the Large Commons. Students, teachers and visitors alike utilize this large space in many ways.
During the lunch hours, The Commons functions as a cafeteria, with a wide variety of tables and benches for seating and eating options such as the School Store, vending machines, cafeteria lines and Cici’s Pizza stations.
The Commons also serves as a place for students to gather to study or chat when not in a class. Before and after school, dozens of groups of students are scattered throughout the commons doing homework, playing cards or surfing the web.
The Commons is more than just a typical school cafeteria; it is a very versatile space that can be used for many other purposes. Outside of school hours, The Commons has been known to host high-profile expos such as the EMAC expo and recent Engineering Expo.
Every Coppell student uses The Commons everyday, whether it’s for lunch or just hanging out with friends. A central location between the gyms and the academic area, The Commons is truly the heart of Coppell High School.
