While most students have gotten the chance to catch their breath and take a break over the holidays, many band students have been working diligently for this Saturday.
Before the break, the band students were already stressing out as they prepared for region auditions; which were before the break. After they auditioned, they were then given whether they did well enough to move on to pre-area. Pre-area also happened before the break and, again, the students were given the information of whether they moved on to area.
This Saturday, the students who passed through region and pre-area finally get to audition for area and have all their hard work pay off. If they pass through area, they are part of the state band, a great honor that few receive. These students have been competing against the best of the best all around the metroplex and are now trying to obtain a spot in the state band.
Although many band students were unable to fully enjoy their break, now their hard work can pay off as they compete for an exclusive spot in the state band. So wish all those auditioning for area luck this Saturday!
