Indoor vs. Outdoor Pep Rallies

Throughout the year, Coppell students enjoy six to seven pep rallies, depending on how well the football team does during its season.  The school has both indoor and outdoor pep rallies during first or second period.

The pep rallies consist of a spotlight on the in-season sports, cheerleaders, band, Lariettes, Silver Spurs, Cowboy Carl and much more.  The outdoor pep rallies include all students from 9th through 12th grade, while indoor only consist of 10th, 11th and 12th graders since there is not enough room for all the grades.

Each pep rally, students compete for the spirit stick by chanting, “C-O-P-P-E-L-L – we are (freshman, sophomores, juniors, seniors) hear us yell!” Before the spirit stick is handed out, the whole school yells, “We are Coppell hear us yell!” Then Cowboy Carl and Mr. Bagley decide which group of students deserves to win the spirit stick.
