CISD Board of Trustees member Tracy Fisher was named the 2012 State Parent of the Gifted by the Texas Association for the Gifted and Talented.
Fisher founded the the Coppell Gifted Association in 2006, and since then, it has amassed more than 600 members. Several similar organizations have been founded around the state of Texas.
Fisher has two children in the Coppell GT program, and she began serving on committees for the Gifted and Talented before her children entered Kindergarten. She founded the MOSAIC summer enrichment camp in Coppell, and all proceeds from the camps go to funding GT training for teachers.
Congratulations to Mrs. Fisher, and may CGA continue to enrich the education of gifted students.
